The Welders in the Mail

Posted: June 13, 2011 in Uncategorized

I have invested in a tool that will help with the restoration of the Wagon. It is a Mig Welder from the Eastwood Company. I believe Lincoln makes the welder for them, and the reviews are very good for this welder. The good price of $339, and the Free Shipping deal for the month made it almost stupid to not jump on this deal.

It is a 110AC/135A output mig welder. It will work with normal home electrical plug.  It will work on floor pans & sheetmetal, but sadly my dreams of welding the hulls of large ships in my driveway are extinguished by this welder.

So hopefully by the end of the month, the ’58 wagon will have new floor pans installed. Stay tuned.

You can look at the other great products offered by Eastwood, which has been selling Automotive Restoration products for years at their website:

great choice, now don’t make the same mistake I made. Buy the biggest bottle you can afford. nothing more annoying than constantly running out of Argon but the tank fill-up is much cheaper as a major part is just the labor/process fee and its the same on any size bottle. The economy size bottle is in this case the big one.

Thanks for the advice! I will get the biggest bottle I can afford.
